Our virtual pop-ups continue for Mother’s Day to support local brands throughout the pandemic period while inspiring thoughtful gift-giving from near or far. Join this special holiday event and be a part of our innovative experience.

UpNext is partnering with a trio of talented pros for this edition: RaeEllen Photography will be creating stunning photo content while Boston Chic Party and Jenny Johnson are set to co-host the event. The theme for this digital activation, slated to pop up Sunday, May 3rd through Sunday, May 10th, is “Celebrating Moms.” All brands that offer products or services with tie-ins to this curation are encouraged to apply right away as space is limited.

Ideal categories include: little luxuries (e.g. jewelry, accessories), bath and beauty, home essentials, books, gourmet packaged foods, personalized gifts and other beautiful must-haves for mom

Professional branding + marketing image gallery with full usage rights throughout and beyond the pop-up period
> Gallery will include individual product images and multi-product lay flats
Social media story templates, graphics, and highlight reels will also be provided

Hosting and promotion by up two established influencers focused on the lifestyle/family space:
Jenny Johnson of NESN’s Dining Playbook/Founder of Champy + Jenna DiMaggio of Boston Chic Party
> Hosts will ensure brands are highlighted via their own channels leading up to and throughout the pop-up period
Access to a wide audience through the power of collaboration
> All participants will promote the pop-up through their respective channels to amplify its reach
Approachable flat fee + revenue share participation rate structure to minimize upfront investment and risk

Following a successful pilot, UpNext is forging ahead with virtual pop-up formats and looking for innovative brand partners. This digital activation will be hosted by established influencers to create content and buzz using product samples provided by all participating brands, and includes a gallery of professional product shots for everyone’s use.

Required dates and details to keep in mind:

  • Pop-up participation will run 6-8 days, spanning Sunday, May 3rd - Sunday, May 10th* with pre-promotion to begin as soon as content is finalized.
    *Please Note: launch date is subject to change, but will begin no later than Tuesday, May 5th, maintaining a minimum 6-day duration through Mother’s Day (TBD prior to commencement).

  • Each brand must ship a selection of product samples* representative of current online mix directly to Rachel McPherson of RaeEllen Photography immediately upon confirmation of participation, to be styled and photographed both individually and alongside other featured brands.
    *Please Note: these are in-kind contributions for RaeEllen Photography and will not be returned

  • Each brand must ship additionally ship a featured product sample* representative of current online mix directly to one of the hosts/influencers (to be matched by UpNext) immediately upon confirmation of participation, as an additional avenue for authentic promotion and engagement.
    *Please Note: these are in-kind contributions for host participation/promotion and will not be returned

  • Each brand must be able to fulfill orders directly through their own websites - to be linked directly from the Virtual Pop-Up Storefront - and ship across the U.S in a somewhat timely manner. Please notify UpNext and any effected consumers directly if circumstances arise that delay or complicate order fulfillment. We understand this is a tumultuous time for businesses to navigate, so communication is key.

  • Each brand must select and commit to donating 10% of sales for this period to a non-profit organization with ties to the Covid-19 pandemic. Keeping the aide relevant to our current circumstances is essential in helping consumers make an impact through their purchases.
    *Please Note: if you do not currently have a non-profit partner, we would love to pair you with one of our go-to organizations; please let us know via the form at the bottom of this page

  • Each brand must provide and actively promote an exclusive special offer, redeemable and trackable with code UPNEXT, throughout the weeklong pop-up period. Value must equate to a minimum of approximately 10% of average purchase, and be applicable to every purchase. Examples include: free, no threshold shipping, 10% or more off total purchase, complimentary gift with purchase, etc. All offers must be submitted for approval prior to launch.

  • Exclusive offer must either be of greater value than any other promotions running in tandem on brand’s own site or partner channels, or combinable using code UPNEXT.

  • As a collaborative participant, each brand commits to promoting the virtual event and exclusive offers using provided imagery and key messaging via all available social media, email marketing and web channels leading up to and throughout the pop-up period.

Participation Fee + Revenue Share: $100 Participation Fee + 15% of all orders associated with offer code UPNEXT
> The $100 Fee will be due via electronic payment upon confirmation of participation.
> Please track all pre-tax sales revenue processed with offer code UPNEXT throughout the full pop-up period. A detailed sales report and accompanying revenue share payment must be provided to UpNext electronically by end-of-day 5/12.

Additional cost considerations include product sample and shipping costs for photographer and host content creation, 10% of sales non-profit contribution, special offer discounts/consumer product comps, processing and credit card fees.
