UpNext is currently planning two virtual pop-up experiences through year-end following a successful pilot series. All brands offering products or services with tie-ins to each curation are encouraged to apply right away as space is limited.

Here’s what’s upnext:

Access to a wide audience through the power of collaboration:
> All participants will promote the pop-up through their respective channels to amplify its reach
Approachable breakpoint/revenue share rate structure to minimize upfront investment and risk

UpNext is pioneering virtual pop-up formats in addition to brick and mortar matchmaking and looking for innovative brand partners to elevate each experience. Digital activations are hosted by established influencers to create content and buzz using product samples provided by all participating brands, in addition to a gallery of professional product shots for everyone’s use.

Key dates and details to keep in mind:

Virtual pop-ups span 10 days per activation, with pre-promotion to begin a minimum of one week prior.*
*Please Note: Launch and end dates are subject to change slightly, with dates to be finalized no less than three weeks prior to launch.

  • Each brand commits to:

    • Ship a selection of product samples* representative of its current online mix directly to each influencer (2-3 influencers per pop-up) immediately upon confirmation of participation, to be styled and photographed both individually and alongside other featured brands.
      *Please Note: All products are in-kind contributions to the influencers and will not be returned; brands may provide one or more products to be highlighted per influencer.

    • Ship an item for inclusion in a pre-launch Instagram giveaway, to be hosted on the UpNext instagram page and amplified through all influencer and brand partner pages. Through cross-promotion offers a preview of pop-up products and encourages new Instagram follows and engagement in line with contest guidelines.*

    • Ship an item for inclusion in a pre-launch multi-brand photo spread, to be included in the media kit.*

      *Please Note: Giveaway items are in-kind contributions will not be returned. If products sent for photography retail for over $75, brands may opt to have goods returned following the pop-up by providing a pre-paid return shipping label.

    • Fulfill all consumer orders directly through their own websites - to be linked directly from the Virtual Pop-Up Storefront - and ship across the U.S in a somewhat timely manner. Please notify UpNext and any effected consumers directly if circumstances arise that delay or complicate order fulfillment. We understand this is a tumultuous time for businesses to navigate, so communication is key.

    • Provide and actively promote an exclusive special offer, redeemable and trackable throughout the 10-day pop-up period with code UPNEXT. Value must equate to a minimum of 10% of average purchase, and be applicable to every purchase made (i.e. no threshold requirements). Examples include: free shipping, 20% off total purchase, complimentary gift with purchase, etc. Offers must be applicable to every order placed and submitted for approval to UpNext prior to launch. Offer must either be of greater value than any other promotions running in tandem on brand’s own site or partner channels, or combinable using code UPNEXT.

    • Promote the virtual event and exclusive offers as a collaborative partner using provided imagery and key messaging via all available social media, email marketing and web channels leading up to and throughout the pop-up period. Brands agree to utilize all active channels including but not limited to email marketing, website, Instagram and Facebook.

  • UpNext is pleased to donate 10% of each virtual pop-up’s revenue to a non-profit partner. Partnership details will be finalized and shared with all participants as soon as they are solidified (typically 2-3 weeks prior to launch).

Breakpoint Fee Structure: $100 Participation Fee or 30% of all pre-tax sales associated with offer code UPNEXT, whichever is higher
> The $100 Fee is due upfront via electronic payment upon confirmation of participation.
> Please track all pre-tax sales revenue processed with offer code UPNEXT throughout the full pop-up period. A detailed sales report and accompanying revenue share payment, if applicable, must be provided to UpNext electronically within three days of the pop-up’s end date.
Sample Scenario 1:
Brand X generates $1,500 in revenue tracked via code UPNEXT over the pop-up period
30% of revenue = $450
$450 - $100 participation fee = $350 balance due
Sample Scenario 2:
Brand Y generates $250 in revenue tracked via code UPNEXT over the pop-up period
30% of revenue = $75
$100 participation fee is greater than revenue share breakpoint and no balance is due

Additional cost considerations include: product sample and shipping costs for host content creation and giveaway, special offer discounts/consumer product comps, processing and credit card fees.
